Abstract
The paper analyzes the information literacy of students of social and art siences at the University of Dubrovnik. The target group were students of the third year of undergraduate study Media and Cultural Society and Restoration and Conservation. The study was conducted by a survey and the results are evaluated by comparative method and synthesis. The theoretical part defines the concept of information literacy, presents SCONUL model and ACRL standards as a key of international documents that give a framework for the implementation of information literacy in higher education. The emphasis is on electronic environment and the challenges that such an environment placed in front of the educational system and to academic libraries which have an important function in the information literacy.
