Abstract
At a time when almost every information can be accessed with a single click, libraries are trying to adjust as well. Internet has been recognized as a powerful marketing tool because it is used by many people on everyday basis, so it is not surprising that the number of public libraries that are becoming aware of its benefits is increasing. This paper presents some of the ways in which Internet can be used to promote libraries and reading. It also includes a research that explores the methods that Croatian public libraries use to promote reading and their own services online, including the best examples of their efforts.
