Abstract
Celebrity culture is one of the most consuming aspects of our everyday life. It is combined of three structural components: celebrities, media and consumers of celebrity culture content. Elements named above are intertwined together and cannot be seperated and researched individualy. The media tends to represent a deceased celebrtiy within a specific poetics through processes like glorification, sacralization and canonization. Using the metodological strategies of critical discourse analysis this paper tends to show this specific media contructed narrative in the example of posthumous web portal articles about four deceased celebrities of different age, sex and occupations from Croatian culture to show the influence and effect of media narrative about deceased celebrities.
