Abstract
This case study shows a psychological treatment of transsexual person, transmale
(female-to-male), in the initial phase of sex transition or reassignment. Possible
psychodiagnostics and psychological counselling has been carried out independently of basic
medical – psychological treatment in the health care system. The main focus of this thesis is
provision of psychological support, to determine the level of social support that client
receives, the real life experience, psychosocial step that is anticipated in the initial phase of
sex transition which has not yet been done in Croatia (or has not been documented), as well as
evaluation of psychological treatment in the two years (or more) period.
