Need of scientists for quality sources of information in printed and electronic form, present challenge to libraries. Today, scientists can access electronic information sources without any mediation by libraries and librarians, and this situation calls for new library development strategies. Libraries should offer new types of services based on results of research on user needs. Such results would help libraries to develop a new library paradigm. This situation also suggests that the only way for libraries to develop new strategies for service development. The only certain way for libraries to remain in central position in scientific communication is to supplying scientist with quality information and they can achieve these goals by constantly adapting.
