Abstract
This work describes a process of providing commercial services of archives ordering from the perspective of service provider. Special attention was paid to the collaboration between public companies and tender procedures. Before the take-over of the material, the public company should start the process of evaluation and selection of the materials that it wants to digitize. To allow for easier and simpler use of the archives and its protection, a provider should approach the process of scanning and sorting archives and records. The provider then takes over the material and starts the scaning process according to precisely defined sequence. Originally the material is stored in a protective container, while the digitized material becomes more accessible through different media (CD, DVD, HARD DISCS).
