Abstract
The information defines human interacting, that is why it should be complete, accurate and prompt. The facts are being collected, archived, analyzed and distributed with the use of information systems. Together with the tools and methods of business intelligence, information can be very useful for business progress and profit increase. The main goal of this work is to show the different possibilities of business intelligence by describing the various methods and techniques, which are nowadays a top subject in the society of information technologies. Even though these have a wide spectrum of use, the focus will be on the business progress of a company and the big role of information sciences in this area.
