Abstract

Due to the discovery of the global environmental crisis, man is assigned to the intellectual, moral and political challenge of dealing with the crisis that requires major changes in the political, economic and scientific structures. Thesis tries to answer the question why is the interdisciplinary approach in the form of cooperation between the natural and social sciences necessary in addressing environmental problems. Widely accepted hypotesis about ethical indifference of natural sciences is rejected and it is determined how natural sciences, political and economic factors affect the concept of sustainable development. Through texts of Vittorio Hösle, John Bellamy Foster and Hans Jonas it is analyzed the interaction of environmental protection and economic and political spheres. By analyzing of ideas of ecosocialism, sustainable development and the Marxist utopianism, it is tried to answer the question wheter there is invincible hostility between the development of productive forces and the natural environment and under what conditions is posible human future development. Special emphasis is placed on Jonas' philosophy of responsibility which can be understood as a sort of theory of science, as well as specific ethich in the crisis of modern world. The problem of environmental crisis can't be solved within today's divided science and interdisciplinary approach is requierd as well as focus on environmental etics so that sciences could become a orientation for action in the scientific and technological world. For long-term resolution of the ecological crisis it's important to create the environment and education system that will be directed to the construction of the ecological identity of man and his environmental sensitivity than is the basis of environmental ethics.
