Abstract

The aim of this research is to see into the possibility of education trough the social efficiency curriculum. For this purpose, endeavor is first made to develop theoretical pedagogical perspective as a basis for theoretical pedagogical overview on the social efficiency curriculum. The course of development of that perspective leads to a conclusion of the necessity of freedom of self-determination of purpose as a prerequisite for the complete and meaningful development of a human being, which is achievable by (self)education in dialectical relationship between man and society. Further course of the research, in which the theoretical concept of social efficiency curriculum is discussed, leads to a conclusion that it disables prerequisites of education, for it is about externally, by socio-ideological mechanisms imposed adaptation of man to the needs of socio-economic system. Theoretical pedagogical overview on the social efficiency curriculum ideology as a reflection of broader socio-ideological context in which needs of the market are imposed to human, shows not only that education as a proces of human's self-becoming is impossible, but also that such society is completely inadequate for general being of human.
