Abstract
Nowadays, most interaction in English takes place between non-native speakers. More and more people engage in ELF interactions every day. This is why the notion of ELF should be introduced into English language teaching. The aim of this study is to examine Croatian high school students’ attitudes towards English as a Lingua Franca, with a focus on its lexicogrammatical features. In the present study a questionnaire was used to gather qualitative data. Factors that may have an effect on students’ attitudes will also be discussed. Even though there has not been a lot of research in this particular field, this study may contribute to understanding students’ attitudes towards ELF lexicogrammatical features.
