Abstract
The paper analyses the concept of active learning and the methods that stimulate it. It also includes an overview of Waldorf education with emphasis on its didactic features. The empirical section contains an analysis of the strategies and methods of active learning in the Waldorf School in Zagreb. The research shows examples of learning through discovery and problem-solving, integrative learning and act-oriented teaching, out-of-classroom learning, project work, tutorials and learning through motion, as well as drawing, telling stories, asking questions, demonstration, and individual and group assignments. There are no examples of the strategies of team work and cooperative learning nor computer-aided learning.
