Abstract
The main principle of educational inclusion is the inclusion of students with disabilities in a
regular school system and providing opportunities for their equal participation. This paper
presents the development of educational inclusion in the world and Croatia, as well as the
laws of inclusion of students with disabilities in a regular school system. The first part also
presents and describes a new form of supporting students with disabilities – teaching
assistants. The second part is the research about teacher's attitudes toward inclusion of
teaching assistants in schools
