Abstract
Higher education libraries are institutions intended to provide services primarily to the academic community then to the general public. Given the rapid advances in technology, it is time to keep up with time to enable full, fast and quality service to their customers. Social software is at present the most common form of communication, information sharing, and social gathering among people, and the question is whether higher education libraries have succeeded in implementing at least some of them in their work and business. If so, we are interested in what kind of social software they use, and whether the library community (professional staff and users) has accepted it, to what extent are they used and whether the users are interested in such a form of communication with libraries.
