Abstract
Web accessibility is still a problem for a large number of users. A lot of web pages are still inaccessible to people with disabilities. They continue to face barriers to interact and access information on the web. Accessibility refers to creating web pages that are accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical and cognitive disabilities. Building the websites that enable this group of users to access information eliminates discrimination and creates a more positive and diverse web environment. Creating accessible web design is a challenge that needs to be overcome to ensure inclusiveness and equal opportunities for all users of the web. This paper provides an overview of basic elements of correctly designed web content that enables equal access to users with disabilities, by referring to the types of difficulties, most common barriers that users face and methods of removing these barriers through web design.
