Abstract
The theme of this diploma thesis is Development of library activities as part of a strategy of cultural development Slavonski Brod. The paper consists two parts, the theoretical and the one related to the research. The theoretical part presents the most important facts about the city, as well as the basic concepts related to library operations and provides an overview of different examples of strategies, focusing on the concept of quality, as well as methods and measurement effects. Research is bringing data obtained by questionnaire, about customer satisfaction related to individual services and their suggestions for improving the service. This diploma thesis presents one of the research of this type in Croatian libraries, and the results would bring significant knowledge about the effects of services to users and guidelines to improve operations to the City Library of Slavonski Brod.
