Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the differences in heuristic reasoning considering: field of science, parent's education and wheather participants lived with their parents during the studies. Participants were 3rd and 4th year students (N=294) of social studies (psychology and sociology) and natural studies (matemathics and physics). Applied questionnaire was constructed out of situations from earlier studies and adapted for croatian sample. The results suggest that there is partial heuristic reasoning present among the participants (in 4 out od 7 situations). Situations where heuristic reasoning was present refer to the exploration of money fungibility and context impact on economic decision making. No differencies were found considering variables: field of science, parent's education and wheather participants with their parents during the studies.
