Abstract
This thesis contains the results of a quantitative research carried out on a sample of 266 male and female 7. and 8. grade elementary school students (elementary school Ivan 55 Filipović,Gustav Krklec, Retkovec, Šestine). The goal of the research was to gain an insight into the online activities of students that fall into the tematical framework of cyberbullying. The distinction was made between gender and age differences. Survey contained open and closed type questions. We examined the prevalence of cyberbulyling activities of students, frequency of Internet use, attitudes towards new media and the presence of parental control. Boys are more closely involved in cyberbulyling compared to the girls but there is no age differences. There were no gender and age differences in prefering positive attitudes towards new media and in the presence of parental control. Boys and girls are spending equal time on Internet. Older students (8. grade) are spending significantly more time on Internet than younger students (7. grade).
