Abstract

In this research, special attention is devoted to students with disabilities. For that purpose, qualitative research was carried out. It was based on semi-structured interviews which were conducted on students who attend University of Zadar and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. There are four respondents from Zadar and nine from Zagreb who participated in the research. The result analysis gave us insight into the experience of students with disabilities in the previously mentioned universities. The results indicated that, during their studies, people with disabilities encounter particular difficulties such as the relationship with their colleagues and professors, and architectural accommodation of universities and cities in which they live. Moreover, their studying experience also includes free time, students' jobs, volunteering and plans for the future. Environment tries to offer as better conditions for their life as they can, although there is still room for further improvement. It is up to students to decide how much they will be included in their everyday life.
