Abstract

Pedagogy of free time offers many possibilities regarding development of competences which are hard to envelop with other educational work. The subject of this graduate paper is creation in free time as a development factor of creativity, the way in which creation in free time affects the development of creativity and understanding pedagogical position in that process. The starting point is finding the relevant theoretical positions within the theme of free time, creation, and creativity that can be contextually connected with the topic of this paper, after which is defined free time, creativity and (amateur) creation to make it easier to understand the further elaboration of the theme. Creativity and creation are originally seen as part of the personality and is therefore reviewed a relationship between creation as activity and personality. Then is provided an insight into traditional and contemporary forms of creation. Free time is discussed as a space for creation and is contemplated the future that contemporary creation has in pedagogy (of free time). Lastly, it is critically assessed the current state of pedagogy (of free time) as a science and offered specific proposals for strengthening and recalibrating of pedagogical effect on free time activities, encouraging creative thinking and development of the creative personality. The purpose of this is an attempt to open alternatives to encourage parents/guardians, professional staff and teachers to find modern ways of developing competence in children and young people in the area of free time.
