Abstract
Current research has shown moderating effect of explicit aggression on the relationship of narcissism and counterproductive work behaviors. The purpose of this study was to examine the moderating effects of explicit and implicit aggression on the relationship of narcissism and counterproductive work behaviors targeted towards individuals and organization. A total of 202 employees with a minimum tenure at current employer of 1 year, working at least half time and having two or more co-workers participated in the study. Data were collected using the following measures: Narcissism Subscale of Short Dark Triad Scale (SD3), Brief Agression Questionnaire (BAQ), Conditional Reasoning Test for Agression (TUR-A), Counterproductive Work Behavior Checklist (CWB-C). According to our findings narcissistic and implicitly agressive individuals have enganged in CWB-O more frequently than narcissistic individuals who are not implictly agressive, while there were no moderating effects of explicit agression. Joint effects of narcissism, explicit and implicit agression did not contribute to the explanation of CWB-O. None of the hypotheses in prediction of CWB-I have been confirmed.
